This awesome free Christmas font comes to use from font hobbyist Chris Hanson. Beyond Wonderland is a quirky, Gothic-style typeface. The creator states that he made it on a whim.

This font does not support accented vowels, but it has dark and decorative flourishes to add a bit of Dickens or Burton to your Christmas projects. It is free for both commercial and personal use as long as you give credit to Chris Hanson as its maker. It looks especially great if you’re using it on designer-made Christmas Cards Templates.

One Starry Night

This fun and festive Christmas font come to use from Brittany Murphy Designs. It is a swirly handwritten font that is sure to add some sparkle to your Christmastime designs. It is free for personal and non-profit use, while commercial use costs $5.

Santa’s Sleigh

From HypoTypo, this Christmas font has a great retro feel. It comes in three weights: regular, bold, and deluxe, which you don’t find everywhere.

Metro Retro NF

This is not your average Christmas font. It is dramatic sans serif font made and published by Nick’s Fonts. It should only be used sparingly, for headlines in large sizes, because it is simply so striking and dramatic that it loses its effect if used too often.

The free version of this holiday font is only available in uppercase. The commercial version, title, Metro Retro Redux, comes with lowercase letters and a complete Adobe character set. It was inspired by Wadsworth A. Parker’s 1927 typeface, Modernistic.

Rothenburg Decorative

This calligraphic blackletter style of script comes to us from Dieter Steffman also known as Typographer Mediengestaltung.

It brings with it a splash of Gothic class. It has 194 elaborate and well-designed characters. This, like all Dieter Steffman’s fonts, are free for commercial and personal use.

Christmas On Crack

For a less heavy holiday font, try Christmas on Crack. This winter font was made by David Lovelace, also known as Parallax. It has a Gothic twist but also a nice dash of fun. It is available for use on both Mac and PC.

This is one of the most Christmas-y of the Christmas fonts. It comes from the Florida- based designer Randy Ford. It’s a highly ornamental typeface and works best when used as a headline font. It is free for both commercial and personal use. You can get this font for both PC and Mac.

Channel

This font was designed by the Swedish designer Måns Grebäck and published through the Aring Typeface foundry. This is a classy cursive Christmas font that has a handwritten feel to it.

It is a fully realized holiday font, with 367 glyphs in its commercial version. To use Channel for commercial use, you’ll have to pay $589, but the free demo version is free for personal use.

Candy Cane

This free commercial cursive script is based on Phil Martin’s Polonaise. It was originally released as True Type font all the way back in 1999.

As an OpenType font, like it is now, it has been embellished with assorted ornaments and accented characters. It is a truly elegant script holiday font. It is free for personal, non-commercial, and commercial use.

The Gingerbread House

This is another wonderful Christmas Font from type designer Chris Hanson. It hits a very unique holiday feel, being a gloriously creepy sans serif. It makes you think of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.

Weirdly enough, this holiday font does not contain the number 4, which can make it difficult to use it for some Christmas project. However, it is still useful in many other situations.

Like all of Chris Hanson’s fonts, it is free for personal, non-commercial, and commercial use provided you give him credit.
