Create a modern Easter Greeting Card - Photoshop Tutorial

1. Open a new project with 600 width and 447 height and apply a green gradient from bottom to top with the following options:

2. Select the Elipse Tool and draw a relative egg shape. After that use the Direct Selection Tool. Hold ctrl and click on the top and bootom of the egg and adjust it until it has a realistic egg shape. Select a gradient with the following colors and options:

After this open blending options for this layer and select outer glow with these options:

3. Duplicate the red egg layer a few times and using Free Transform (ctrl + t) rotate it and make it look like this:

4. Using the Eliptical Marquee Tool draw a circle at the top of the egg and fill it with a circular white gradient(white to transparent) and then cut the color that goes outside the egg.

Repeat this procedure for the other eggs

5. Now we have to build a basket in which the eggs will stay. With Pen Tool draw a shape like this one and apply the blending options: Overlay color -> #BB8642 and 3 pixels stroke with #7E491E

6. With the same Pen Tool draw the rest of the basket. You can also do it with Eliptical Marquee Tool and then delete the exceeding color. Apply the same blending options as the top of the basket and it will look like this:

7. With Pen Tool draw a shadowed like shape and fill it with #7E491E. After that set the following layer options:

Do the same shadowed looking shape for the rest of the basket and set the same options like the previous:

8. Draw some flowers with a brush around the basket to include the spring spirit in it.

9. Now we have to work on the title of the Greeting Card. Write "Happy Easter to you all!" or any message that you'd like with arial black or another clean font and then rasterize the layer. For that you have to make a right click on the layer and choose Rasterize. After doing so hold ctrl and click on the layer and go to Select - Modify - Expand and expand it with 2 or three pixels. Then make a new layer and put it under the red one and brush it with white. It will look like this:

For the white layer use an Outer Glow set to Normal with black or another dark color.

10. Now we have to make the text look in the modern style. For this we draw a circle in which will be included half of the text and then make white half gradient (white to transparent) from the bottom of the text till the top of it. Delete the color that exceeds the text size and set the new gradient layer to 30-40%. It will now look like this.

Add some sparks on the background and you've finished the Greeting Card. Click the image for fullview.
