Works for 8.0.1 and 8.0.2

Make sure you backup your files from C:\Football Manager 2008\data\updates\update-801\data. If you pick another skin than Bluestone you should replace them with the original ones

I've updated the archive. Please read the readme file just in case.

Extract the archive named "BlueStone skin" in: C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\skins

Extract the archive named "SI update files 8.0.1" in: C:\Football Manager 2008\data\updates\update-801\data

Still I didn't solve the problems with the unread news balloon above the calendar button and neither the bug in the search players options but that's no biggie. :-J

It's based on the colors of the 2005 Stone skin. I adapted that one for FM 2006. A good start.
