It’s a battle that is going on for some time, the fast food war between KFC, Burger King and McDonald’s. We will concentrate our attention on the print advertising that they’ve done over the last years and I’m not referring here to the usual ads for a product “buy the new burger for 3$” or something like that, no, I’m referring to the prints that actually have a message that makes you think, not just assimilate a dumb information. You will see here that McDonald’s has invested more in print advertising than its competitors but hey, that must be one of the reasons they’re number one. It’s also interesting how they tried to make people forget the label of fat food that has been applied to them by offering vegetables or fruits in their menus (McD and BK). Nice try. The copywriters and art directors must be extremely enthusiastic when they get a contract for a condoms company. I can’t explain how otherwise they can make advertisements so damn clever and funny. Impossible is nothing they say. Felt hard to gather 65 Adidas prints in an article; it feels impossible to put all the Adidas prints from the past 5-10 years in an article but who knows. Maybe in the near future. Till then, we can admire some of the prints created by this giant sportswear company. You’ll see in the article an advertisement that invites you to check Reebok. Don’t be fooled by it. It’s not the same thing as the notorious advertising campaign held by the big car manufacturers. Adidas owns Reebok… literally. Now… let’s enjoy the ads.
