Viktor Hertz, a Swedish graphic designer from Uppsala, had the interesting idea to make posters with the help of the minimalist pictograms that we have all seen in a lot of places but not in posters. He chose a broad subject from where he could make a lot of cool posters. He probably could have chosen better examples than these but for a first batch, these aren’t just good, they’re quite impressive, especially because nobody else did this a collection like this before.
He chose to make posters for popular songs that he probably enjoyed as a young fellow, although some of those songs are from his parent’s teenage years. I can’t guarantee for everyone that will recognize all these songs, cause there are a lot of classic ones, but a Youtube search won’t hurt if you are curious. Who knows, you might just like them.
While waiting for him to make a follow-up to this collection, I’m inviting you to take a look at the interesting minimalist posters that are currently created.
